Hermès Oran Sandals Review

Updated: Mar 6, 2022

Welcome to my first review on my blog, Sipping My Cosmo!

Today, we are talking about the Iconic Hermès Oran sandals. The pair that I will be reviewing is in Box calfskin leather and in gold color.

I always see the same questions being asked about these sandals so I hope my answers will be helpful for you before you make your purchase! We will be talking about sizing, comfort, wear/tear & more. Let's get right into it...

𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭:

They currently retail for $630 plus tax. However, some can go up to $1,775 depending on the leather & color.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭:

My first thought when I tried on the pair on was "Wow, it feels like I'm walking on a cloud". I was amazed at how soft it felt. I know comfort is a topic that is discussed a lot for this pair. Everyone's feet is different so it won't fit/feel the same for others as it does for me. But in my opinion, this pair is comfortable. I’ve been wearing it almost everyday for over two months now. Even thought the shoe doesn't offer much support as it is flat, there were times I walked hours in it and I didn’t feel tired or uncomfortable. With that being said, it is an expensive pair so I would recommend you to try it in before purchasing.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫:

I went for a neutral color, gold, so it would be easier to style in terms of my wardrobe. I wasn’t wrong. It goes with every outfit. You can easily dress it up & down which is a very important plus for me. I initially went to the store to purchase the black pair but for some reason when I tried it on, it didn’t feel as flattering on my foot. The gold complimented me better. If I weren't going to get the gold, I would have gone for white or grey.

𝐒𝐢𝐳𝐞:

I would recommend you to size up! This, of course, depends on the shape of your foot and personal preference. For me I normally wear US7 in flats. However, I had to get half a size up for these sandals. 8 probably would’ve also worked. My SA did let me know the sides will soften up over time so your feet will slide in more. This hasn’t happened to me yet but it’s good to keep that in mind when you're trying them on.

𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫:

As I said, I had these sandals for two months now. The "H" part in the front did crease a little for the left pair but other than that I haven't noticed any wear... yet. I might have to do an updated review after a year or so of wearing it.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞:

I bought my pair from the New York Madison store. I went on the weekend and didn't need to make an appointment to be able to purchase these. I tried on two other colors.

However, you can also buy them online.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧:

I absolutely love love this pair of sandals. It seems like ever since I purchased it, I've worn them at least 2-3 times a week which to me says that I will be getting a lot of use out of them. They're comfy, classic and must have in my opinion. I only had one other pair of sandals before purchasing these. After wearing it for two years, the straps had broken so I had to throw them out. Hence why I needed a new pair to add to my wardrobe. Ever since I started wearing the Oran sandals, it became a circulating part of my wardrobe. I have no doubt that I will be adding more colors to my collection in the future. I even see myself adding a pair of Oasis sandals, which is the heel version of the Oran Sandals, to my collection.

What are your thoughts on these sandals? Do you have a pair? Are you thinking of getting one? If you have any other questions, let me know in the comments!! ✨
